Entertaiment is not merely amusement or fun and laughter, but includes a wide range of activities that may have a serious purpose such as ceremonial ritual, religious festivals or political satire. It can be a means of learning, such as through the use of games that teach children how to interact, and it can be on any scale from a private entertainment experience to a large public event.
