How to Use Entertaiment to Engage Your Readers

Entertaiment (also known as entertain) refers to anything that amuses or delights an audience. This concept has become so closely associated with amusement that it is often thought to be synonymous with laughter, although it can also have more serious or reflective purposes, such as in satire and ceremonial acts. Entertainment can occur on any scale, from a private individual choosing entertainment options from a now enormous variety of pre-recorded products to a banquet adapted for two, from traditional activities such as hunting or archery to spectator sports such as football or fencing, to performances staged for thousands and even global audiences.

One of the best ways to engage your audience in an article is by painting a picture for them with your words. Using words to describe what they are seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling will help to transport them into the scene you are writing about. For example, instead of saying “he drove fast,” say, “he sped through the winding roads at 80 miles per hour.” This technique will help your readers to connect with the story more fully.
